Winter Afternoon
Bare trunks in rust and umber against a low winter light, nine by seven inches. Almost monochrome. The whole sheet is worked in warm browns with only a suggestion of cold blue behind, which is exactly what a Pacific Northwest wood looks like on a clear afternoon in January.
