Freedom
Looser and faster than Juvonen's other abstracts. Green, cobalt and white are swept across a small canvas in broad gestural passes with the ground still visible between them, and none of the marks close into a form. Where his larger abstracts build up over many sittings, this one reads as a single session and is better for it — the openness is the point the title is making.
