Fall Chestnut
A chestnut in full autumn colour standing behind a white picket fence, its fallen leaves laid down in a gold carpet along the ground. Eight by sixteen inches. The fence runs the entire width of the panel as one bright horizontal, and every warm passage in the picture — canopy above, litter below — is arranged around that single cool line.
